This part is for you if you're at school and you've played our games, sent us an idea or named an owl.

We ask for as little as we can. When you send a Gofyn idea or name an owl, we don't ask for your email. Your first name is optional on Gofyn ideas, and we don't ask for it at all when you name an owl.
Under 13? If you sign up for the Cylfaa Challenge, use a parent or carer's email address, not your own.
Only our small team sees what you send. We never sell it, never use it for adverts and never use it to guess things about you.
If we use your idea or your owl name, we credit your school, not you by name.
We delete ideas and owl names at the end of the school year (31 August). A winning owl name stays, but nothing that says who sent it.
Want something deleted, or worried about something? Ask a teacher or a parent to email hello@owl.wales, or email us yourself. You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office, who protect everyone's data in the UK.

We collect only what you enter in a form or send us by email. Where a field says optional, you can leave it blank.

Business and employer forms Business page, the sector pack pages, Cylfaa Challenge (business tab), Glan Atom business form	Name, email, organisation, job title or role, county, sector and what you're interested in. Phone number and a message are optional.
School and teacher forms Schools page, Cylfaa Challenge (teacher tab), county school pages	Name, school, county, email, year groups, sectors and what you'd like from us.
Parent forms and alerts Cylfaa Challenge (parent tab), construction parent alerts, Wylfa alerts	Your name or first name, email, your child's school and year group, county or postcode, and the sectors you'd like alerts about.
Student sign-up Cylfaa Challenge (student tab)	First name, school, year group, email (a parent or carer's email if you're under 13) and the sector you like most.
Gofyn ideas Job Explorer game	School, year group, which Byd your idea is for, and your idea. First name is optional. No email.
Name this owl Canolfan Iechyd and Y Salon pages	Your name idea for the owl, what it means (optional), school and year group. No name, no email.
Press, funders and councils Cylfaa Challenge (press tab)	Name, organisation, role, email, type of enquiry and your message.
Emails to us hello@owl.wales	Your email address and whatever you choose to write.

We don't ask for special category data, such as health information, and please don't send it. Our games run entirely in your browser: we don't record your answers, scores or quiz results.

The law needs us to have a reason, called a lawful basis, for each use.

We delete test, spam and duplicate form entries as soon as we see them.

The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), with strict security headers.
Form entries can only be seen by people at ATO Insight Solutions, through a protected account.
Every form has spam protection. Apart from Cloudflare's visit counter, our pages load no scripts or fonts from other companies.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

Show you the personal data we hold about you
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete your data
Restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
Give you a copy in a format you can take elsewhere
Stop sending you updates. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did before

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (0303 123 1113).
